There is a shopping mall about a mile from my house and in that mall is a vender called �Cinnabun�, who sells the most delicious pastries. I love to go there for a fat tablet once in a while.

They have several small, round tables where patrons can sit and enjoy drink and pastries. I purchased coffee and roll, but there was no tables vacant. Two men in turban and robe were at one and motioned me to share their space. I thanked them and pulled my wheelchair up to the table. Soon I realized that one of them spoke English and the other did not. When I said, �Thank you very much� the one started talking in some language I did not know, and the other smiled and nodded to me, uttering something. The one said, �My friend said you are welcome to share what we have.�

I asked, �Are you Arabian?�

�No,� he said. We are from Afghanistan. He come this morning. I am here more than a year.�

A lady at the next table heard all this and asked, �Have you suffered because of the world situation?�

All the time he kept jabbering to the other man and he jabbered back. �No,� he said. Then with a big smile he said, �My friend said America beautiful people. Very kind. He have no American clothing so I wear robe to meet him. He says everybody don�t care, just say hello and very nice.�

With this the woman stood, walked over to them and kissed them both. �Thank you,� she said.

There was a guy sitting near who looked like a truck driver. He looked at me and with a grin said, very loudly, �Now look what you started. Friendship!�

Everyone laughed and the one man told his friend what was said. His friend jabbered a bit and both laughed, then the one said, �He said he lucky get kiss from nice lady.�

Truck driver said, �Yeah, but she didn�t kiss me!� With this the lady went over to him, sat on his lap, and planted a big kiss, right on his mouth! Truck Driver�s face turned bright red.

I began to think we were going to have to call the Medics for those two Afghans... But we all had a darn good laugh...
