PROFESSIONAL WOMAN
I know a woman who is a professional interior decorator. She can turn an otherwise drab house into a thing of real beauty and she does it with almost no expense. When she does a house it radiates with sunshine and gleams with smiles you would never have thought possible. The place looks like a home, not just a simple house.
This lady can cook. Boy, she can make a fine meal from the least expensive products. She has an endless supply of new recipes which she brings right out of her head. Even when she has little in the supply room, she will prepare something that sets your mouth to watering and makes you ask for seconds. Not only does she cook, she knows how to buy products that cost little and plans for future delicious meals. When she leaves the market with a full shopping cart, you can bet that everything in it will be consumed, except some of the packaging. And even that will not be wasted. She has plans for everything she pays for.
She is a teacher. She seldom has to look things up to teach. She knows the answer when ever asked. All her students love her because she teaches with patience yet firm hand. And the range of subjects she teaches! Wow! She can tell you about world affairs, chemistry, citizenship, history, and knows the Bible through out.
You know, she knows about clothing. She not only knows how to buy good clothes, but she knows how to alter them for better fit and comfort. Winter clothing is a real specialty. She knows how to dress people up for warmth, even on the coldest days, and how to keep dry without using up the annual budget on special coats and slickers. Of course, summer clothing is good, too. She can come up with clothing that is cool and still shows taste. She is a real genius.
This woman is a counselor to people who needs comfort. She always knows just what to say and when to say nothing. She lifts spirits when all the world seems to have crasher down. I think that she may be a faith healer, for sometimes just her touch or a little hug will destroy a depression within someone and cause them to feel like a million. When loss has come upon someone she can lift the spirits with a smile, a word, a touch, or a tear. She imparts love beyond that of anyone else.
This dear lady never tells others what to do, but somehow she causes them to do what is right. She has an insight of what the near future will turn out like and steers people toward the happy ending.
She is very athletic, seemingly never running out of energy. She can, and does, do more work in a day than the strongest man. And she is very strong. She can carry more than half her weight in kids, groceries and other necessities and walk for blocks without falling on her face. Yet, she does not give the muscle-bound appearance one would expect from such a person. In fact, she is wonderfully soft and absolutely beautiful.
Who is this person that can do everything? If you ask her she will say, “I’m just a housewife.” Yep, just a housewife. Unemployed. Don’t work.
We know this wonderful, talented lady by many names. Mom - wife - sweetheart - best friend - just to name a few. She’s the one who gave up everything, even her name, to become “just a housewife.” She is the person who lifts the world on her shoulders and carries it without a bump. She is the person who makes life worthwhile.
God Bless You, Dear!
