Sorrow not understood
Little Native American girl hanging on the fence of the Kindergarten class yelled out, "Hi, Grandpa!"
I looked to see who she was and did not recognize her. I said, "Well Hi."
With a big smile she stood looking at me with her beautiful black eyes. The teacher came to me and asked, "Is this your Grand Child?"
"No," I said, "I don't know who she is. Just someone who knows me."
"Her Mother died last night and she had no place to go so she was sent to School."
I became so overcome with emotion that I walked over to the fence, reached over and picked her up and held her in my arms. This may not have helped her very much, but it did wonders for me!
