50 YEARS WITH YOU

Through all these years
With smiles and tears
We’ve spent our lives together
We’ve done our work
We did not shirk
In all kinds of weather.

All that time,
Sweet wife of mine,
You’ve been by my side.
In whatever came,
Sunshine or rain,
What ever was the tide.

Now our of-springs
Are no longer children
We think of them as so.
Their lives - their own,
Although we moan,
For we reap what we’ve sown.

Their mates we hold
With love so bold,
And love their children, too.
They’ve filled our hearts
They are so smart,
They chase away the blues.

Joan, my dear,
I love you here,
And always will forever.
Let’s keep at it
Without any static,
And we shall part - NEVER!
